AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY

Authority means power to take decisions.Responsibility means obligation to complete the job assigned on time.According to this principle there must be balance between the authority and responsibility. If authority is given more without matching responsibility may bring negative results and excess of responsibility without matching authority will not allow the worker to complete his job on time.

  1. If authority is more this lead to misuse of power
  2. If responsibility is more it leads to delay in work or work may not complete on time
