Q. Explain in detail how to do the IUPAC nomenclature of Alkanes, Alkenes and Alkynes with functional groups like OH, COOH and substituents like Cl, Br, NH2 etc.

In IUPAC nomenclature first priority goes to all the functional group. In case of variable functional group there is a order provided by IUPAC which u can get any where on google or in ur class notes. Counting for number of carbon in parent chain usually use to occur from the carbon having functional group attached to it.
