Watson & Crick Model of DNA

~ James Watson and Franchis H. Crick are the Two Nobel winning Scientists Who Determined the 3- Dimension structure of Dna in 1953. The Features of there Model are as Follows:-

~ Dna is A double stranded structure and Each strand of this Dna is chemically Formed between two adjacent deoxyribose nucleicotides by phosphodiester Bond.

~ In Dna, the phosphodiester bond is formed between the 3- OH of Deoxyribose nucleicotides and 5' Phosphate residue of an adjacent Deoxyribose nucleicotides, thus two strand are arranged in an anti- parallel Manner.

~ the Base Sequence on one strand is complementary to the base sequence on the other stand because of the base pairing rule i.e, Adenine on one strand forms two hydrogen bonds with guanine on the other strand.

Hope it helps uh mate☺️

The 3-dimensional double helix structure of DNA, correctly elucidated by James Watson and Francis Crick. ... DNA is a double-stranded helix, with the two strands connected by hydrogen bonds. A bases are always paired with Ts, and Cs are always paired with Gs, which is consistent with and accounts for Chargaff's rule.
