because it has so many factors....like 17...5...11...3...2..!!!!

17 \times 5 \times 11 \times 3 \times 2 \times 11 \: is \: a \: composite \: number \: because \: it \: has \: so \: many \: factors. \\  \\ by \: multiplying \: all \: these \: numbers \: you \: get \: 61710 \\  \\ and \: now \: this \: number \: have \: more \: than \: two \: factors \: that \: we \: have \: multiplied.
Remember, that prime numbers are those that have only two factors.

Example - a) 2 .... 2 has 2 factors that are 1 and 2

b) 3 .... 3 too has 2 factors that are 1 and 3
