Q. Explain why do the planets not twinkle but the stars twinkle.

planets don't because they are not burning where stars which made up of nebula is very energetic that's why stars shine

See. This is because planets are much closer to Earth compared to start .They, therefore , do not appear as a point source but appear as a collection of points source. Because of change in atmospheric refractive index the position as well as the brightness of individual point source changes but the average position and the total average brightness remained unchanged and planets do not Twinkle......
