The human eyes operate on the same principle as a camera.

Explanation:

  • The paired eyes are located in the sockets of the skull called orbits.
  • The human eyeball is nearly spherical in structure. The wall of the eyeball is composed of three layers.
  • The external layer is called the sclera and the inner layer is called the retina. The middle layer in-between is called the choroid.
  • The lens located behind the iris bends the light ray and help in the focussing the light on the retina.
  • The retina contains the actual light receptors the rods and cones, and thus retina functions in the same way as the film of a camera does.
  • This way, our eyes tell us how beautiful/bright/colourful something is.
