Q find verb and kind of verb
Answers
Explanation:
First to find verb, see three of this factors in the sentences -
Actually verb refers to -
1.Doing something.
2. Being something.
3. Having something.
Now kind of verbs
1. Transitive verb:-
A verb that requires an object to complete its meaning is called transitive verb.
e.g. She caught the ball.
Here caught is verb and ball is an object.
But which type of verb is caught?
It is transitive verb because in the sentence there was an object also. If there would be - She caught then it would be an intransitive verb (we'll
study later) because there is no object.
2. Intransitive verb:-
A verb that does not require an object to complete its meaning is intransitive verb.
e.g. Birds fly. Here birds is subject and fly is verb but there is no object so it's an intransitive verb.
3. Ditransitive verb:-
Sometimes a verb takes two objects one is direct object and the other is indirect object. Such verbs are called ditransitive verb.
e.g. He sent me a book. Here, he is subject, sent is verb, book is direct object and me is indirect object. So, sent is a Ditransitive verb and it is a ditransitive sentence.
