Step-by-step explanation:

Given sheet of paper ABCD AB = 40 cm, AD = 28 cm ⇒ CD = 40 cm, BC = 28 cm [since ABCD is rectangle] Semicircle be represented as BMC with BC as diameter Radius = (1/2) x BC=(1/2) x 28=14cm Area of remaining (shaded region) = (area of rectangle) – (area of semicircle) Rm/105095/a-sheet-of-paper-is-in-the-form-of-rectangle-abcd-in-which-ab-40cm-and-ad-28-cm

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

given , ab =40 cm = dc

          ad = 28 cm = bc      r= 28/2 = 14

   area of rectangle = l*b

                         = 40*28

                           =1120 cm ²

area of semi circle =\pir²/2

                           =     22/7 * 14*14/2

                                 =  44*14/2

                             =308 cm²

area of remining paper = 1120-308

                                     = 812 cm²
