Q- Give an account of prophase I of meosis.

(Pro:first) in prophase centrioles start moving apart and reach opposite poles.
Chromosomes become distinct and duplicated as paired chromatids. Centromere is the point where the 2 sister chromatids are attached.
During this phase, spindle fibres appear between daughter centrioles. Nuclear membrane and nucleolus disappear.
