1.A clear cloudless day-time sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colours because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight.

2.Yes sun can be seen about 2 minutes before the actual sunrise. It is because of atmospheric refraction. When the Sun is slightly below the horizon, the light coming from it travels from less dense to more dense air and is refracted downwards.

3.If an object is placed very close to the eyes the light reflected from it does not fall on the retina. It either falls in front of the retina or behind it or on the blindspot. Hence, we cannot see the object. The minimum distance for seeing an object clearly is 25cm.
