Answer 1 :

• We can trace magnetic field lines by following ways:

(1.) Firstly, by arranging the compass around the bar magnet. The needles of compasses will arrange themselves in the pattern of magnetic field lines.

(2.) Secondly, by spreading iron fillings over a cardboard and placing a magnet under the cardboard. The iron fillings will arrange them in the pattern of magnetic fields.

Answer 2:

Yes, it is indeed a true report that when electric current is passed through any wire magnetic field generated around it but electric iron connecting cable does not attract nearby objects because the strength of field lines created by it are very low to attract any object. Hence it can't attract nearby objects.

Answer 3:

Two magnetic field lines can never intersect each other because if they did so, there would be two directions shown by needle of compass placed at the point of intersection which is not at not possible.

Hence two magnetic field lines never intersect each other.

Answer 4:

A freely suspended magnet always points in north-south direction even in the absence of any other magnet because our Earth itself behaves like a huge magnet which causes a freely suspended magnet to point always in a particular direction North and South. The shape of Earth's magnetic field resembles that of an imaginary bar magnet.

1.bar magnet (or any magnet) will have a north pole and a south pole. The magnetic field lines will start from the north pole and end at the south pole. Since iron is a metal that is magnetic in nature, we can use iron filings or a magnetic compass needle to trace the magnetic field lines of the bar magnet.

2.When an electric current is passed through a wire, it is true that a magnetic field is produced around it. ... The magnetic field produced by an electric iron connecting cable is very weak and is not enough to attract nearby objects

3.If magnetic field lines intersect each other, then at the intersection point there will be two directions of the same field which is not possible. Hence the field lines do not cross or intersect each other.
