The effectiveness of the constitution can be seen from the following points:

Successful completion of elections not only at Centre but even at state and local levels( panchayat and municipalities).

Despite of having so much diversity , there was hardly any long period which one can say caused chaos . Some people calls emergency period as chaotic but even it was largely peaceful .

No army or martial law implemented in India since independence.

Judiciary has remained independent throughout ( even more powerful than executive at times ) after the start of constitutional.
