Assuming the cube is hollow, that means 16 cubes per face x 6 faces = 96 cubes. If however, the cube is not hollow, then inside is a a 3cm cube, a 2cm cube, and then a 1cm cube. Using the same maths we can work these out: Each face of the 3cm cube is 3x3 which equals 9. 9 cubes x 6 faces = 54

Therefore the no.of cube is 27 cubes.
