HERE IS YOUR ANSWER :-
To find the slope , we will divide the difference of the y - coordinates of 2 points on a line by the difference of x - coordinates of those same points .
Y2 - Y1 / X2 - X1
FOR example :- we take 2 coordinate ( 2,4 ) and ( 6,8 ) .
then the slope is 8-4/6-2
i.e. 4/ 4
we get the slope of the line = 1 .
