Q.I Define the following and state the respective SI units :
(a) Motion
(b) Speed
(c) Acceleration
(d) displacement
Q.II Differentiate between
(a ) scalar and vector quantities.
(b ) Uniform and non uniform speed.
Q.III . Solve the following:
1) A train starting from a railway station and moving with uniform acceleration attains a
speed of 60km/hr in 1.4 mins. Find its acceleration.
2) During an experiment, a signal from a spaceship reached the ground station in five mins.
What was the distance of the spaceship from the ground station? The signal travels at
thespeed of light , that is ,3 x 10°m/s.
3) A scooterist covers a distance of 3 kilometres in 5 minutes. Calculate his soeed in :
(a ) centimetres per second
(b) kilometres per hour
4) On a 120km track , a travels the first 30km at a uniform speed of 30km/hr. How fast must
the train travel the next 90km so as to average 60km/hr for the entire trip?
5) A train travels at a speed of 60km/hr for 0.52 hr , at 30km/hr for the next 0.24 hr and then
at 70km/hr for the next 0.71hr. What is the average speed of the train ?

1 a

the moving object is said to be in motion

1b

distance per unit time is called speed

1c

displacement per square cecond

called as acceleration

1d

the shortest distance between initial position and final position of an object is known as displacement

I have to go tuition so rest of the answer u will receive soon

plz mark as brainliest
