Simple question!

Solution: Let the fraction be x/y

ATQ, we got

(x+2.5x)/(y+4y) = 7/17

3.5x/5y = 7/17

x/y = 35/59.5

x/y = 350/595

x/y = 70/119

So, original fraction is 70/119.
