Question :- ⬇️

If the adjacent sides of a parallelogram are in the ratio 2:3 and the sum of all the sides is 50 cm, find the measure of the sides of the parallelogram.

Solution :- ⬇️

The opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal let one of the side be a and adjacent side be b as shown in the figure.

Given :

2a + 2b = 50

a + b= 25⠀⠀⠀⠀(1)

a : b = 2 ; 3⠀⠀⠀(2)

⇒a \: = \: \frac{2b}{3} ⠀⠀⠀ \: (3)

substituting (3) in (1) we get.

⇒ \:   \frac{2b}{3}  + \: b \: = \: 25

⇒  \frac{5b}{3}  \:  =  \: 23

b = 1 5.

a = 10

the sides measure

⇒ AB = 10cm

⠀BC = 15cm

⠀CD = 10cm

⠀AD = 15cm

Hence, solved .

Step-by-step explanation:

\huge\purple{★Solution★}

The opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal let one of the side be a and adjacent side be b as shown in the figure.

_____________________________________________

★Given : 2a+2b=50

⇒a+b=25 (1)

also a:b=2;3 (2)

⇒a= 3/2b (3)

★substituting (3) in (1) we get

⇒ 3/2b +b=25

⇒ 3/5b =25

⇒b=15

∴a=10

∴ the sides measure

⇒AB=10cm

BC=15cm

CD=10cm

AD=15cm

Hence, solved.
