Q.) if the areas of two similar triangles are equal prove that they are congruent.

the proof is there in the above image. But by A.A.A test we can prove that the triangles are congruent [the three angles of the triangle are equal (as given in the 6th line of the image)] then why r we doing such a long step.​

The truth is that AAA test CANNOT be used to prove triangles are congruent.

AAA is a test for similarity not congruency thus what you say cannot be done.

AAA is used to prove similarity and it can not be used to prove congruence for example all equilatetal triangles of different lengths are not congruent but they all have equal angles which is 60°
