Q In brief state what happens when-
a) Dry apricot are left for some time in pure water and later transferred to sugar solution.

If they r left in pure water,endosmosis will take place,they will swell if they r left in sugar solution, as the outer solution is hypertonic,thus they will shrink due to exosmosis.
