\huge\bold\pink{ANSWER:}

Substituting -5/2 at the place of the variable "n" for the given polynomial, q(n)=+6n²+8n-8...:-

q(-5/2)= (-5/2)³+6(-5/2)²+8(-5/2)-8

q(-5/2)= -125/8 +6×25/4 -4×5 -8

q(-5/2)= -125/8 +3×25/2 -20-8

q(-5/2)= -125/8 +75/2 -28

q(-5/2)= 175/8 -28

q(-5/2)= -49/8 [The required solution..]

#Alternative form:-

 - 6 \times \frac{1}{8}

and,

 - 6.125

Hope it helps...:-)
