A social reformer is anyone who advocates for reform of a certain area of society. Crusader and meliorist are used as general synonyms for social reformers. Different types of reformers. Abolitionists, or nemanipisits for example were social reformers who focused on putting an end to slavery.

1. Swami Vivekananda : Swami Vivekananda founded the Ramakrishna Mission. Swawamiji spent a lot of his life as a wanderer moving from ghats to King's palaces to remote villages, spreading across his teachings and answering people's queries.
2.Raja Ram Mohan Roy : Raja Ram Mohan Roy was the founder of Brahmo Samaj. He was truly devoted towards his work. He is considered as a pioneer of the modern India. He fighted against the Sati system.
