1 mole of oxygen @STP, occupies a volume of 22.4 L.

1 mole = 32 g of oxygen

x mole = 10 g oxygen

x = 10/32 mole

1 mole => 22.4 L

10/32 mole => y L

y = 10/32 x 22.4 L

Volume occupied =  10/32 x 22.4 L (Option A)

Hope this helps! :)

AccioNerd: Coz for all the problems of this type...I have solved it in a similar way
hende: this is mcqs books but i have just one confusion dear that it has asked volume of oxygen atom but i havent solve such kind of problems in which volume of just atoms is required?
AccioNerd: Exactly
AccioNerd: I had the same doubt
hende: yes
AccioNerd: So...even if it meant atoms then also the answer wouldn't differ that much coz instead of 10/32 it would be 10/16
AccioNerd: And that option isn't given
AccioNerd: If they are saying that instead of oxygen gas it is the oxygen atoms and so we have to divide the 10 g by to get 5...it still doesn't make sense because we are given the mass and not the no. of mole
hende: yes u r ri8
AccioNerd: :)
