Given : Two capacitors of 3 μF  are joined in parallel across a  battery of 15 volt

To Find : the charge  stored by each will be

Solution:

Q  = CV

in Parallel Circuit Voltage will be same across each capacitor

Hence Voltage across each capacitor  = 15 V

Each capacitor  = 3 μF

C = 3 μF

V = 15 V

Q = 3 x 15  = 45  μCoulomb

charge  stored by each will be   = 45  μCoulomb
