To find the smallest number to multiply or divide you should find the prime factorisation of the number. The prime factorisation of the number 2880 is

2×2×2×2×2×2×3×3×5

As it is of square, state means 2 so pair two two number .

Then u will get

2×2×2×3×(5)

All numbers have been paired except 5.

So 5 must be multiplied or divided to 2880 to make it a perfect square.
