2x + 3y = 13 ... (1)

2x - 3y = (-5)... (2)

Add (1) and (2)

Therefore

2x + 3y = 13

2x - 3y = -5

Therefore

4x = 8

x = 8/4

x = 2

put the value of x = 2 in eq (1)

2x + 3y = 13

2(2) + 3y = 13

4 + 3y = 13

3y = 9

y = 9/3

y = 3

Hence Solution : (x,y) = (2,3)
