THE HONEST WOOD CUTTER
A poor woodcutter leaves his house early in the morning.to cut some trees so that he could earn some money and fill his family's needs.he wondered for hours in the forest in the search for a suitable tree. Finally found a tree which had arched over a lake.it will be a difficult job cutting this tree he thought to himself.But as it was his only option he climbed the tree and started cutting it.unfortunately his axe slipped from his hand and fell into the water.seeing his only hope meeting the waters, he weeped.thinking how will he fill his children stomach today? he can't even buy a new axe due to his poverty..Hearing him weeping a goddes emerged from the blue waters..she asked him"what's the problem my child why are you crying?!"
"my--my axe fell in to the water"he Sayed as he stammered."Don't worry I'll bring it for you"the goddess assured him.she dived into the waters and brought a gold axe "take my son your axe""this isn't my axe"the woodcutter replied..the goddes dived again and presenting him with a silver axe "devi, I am very poor.this silver axe doesn't belong to me. thanks for your efforts".he frowned..the goddes dived again and presents him with a old iron axe.."Yes yes this is my axe"said the woodcutter jumping in joy."putra, I am pleased with your honesty and would like to reward you with the other two axes as well"..the woodcutter gladly accepted the three axes bowing low and returned to his house..
