Given,

  • The radius of the right circular cone = 6 cm
  • The height of the right circular cone = 8 cm

To find,

  • The slant height of the right circular cone

Solution,

The slant height of the right circular cone with a radius of 6cm and height of 8cm is 10 cm.

We can simply find the slant height of the right circular cone by using the Pythagoras theorem.

                (H)^2 = (B)^2 +(P)^2

where H = slant height of the right circular cone

           B = radius of the right circular cone

           P = height of the right circular cone

          (l)^2 = (r)^2 + (h)^2

          (l)^2 = 36 + 64

           (l)^2 = 100

           l = \sqrt{100}

           l = 10

∴ The slant height of a right circular cone is 10 cm.

Hence, the slant height of the right circular cone with a radius of 6cm and height of 8cm is 10 cm.

If the radius is 6cm, and the height is 8cm… the slant height is 10cm.
