⟹40 = 8m

⟹m = \frac{40}{8} = 5

\mathbb{CHECK:-}

⟹40 - 16(3(5) - 5) = - 10(4(5) - 8)

⟹40 - 16(15 - 5) = - 10(20 - 8)

⟹40 - 16(10) = - 10(12)

⟹40 - 160 = - 120
