Answer:

let us, Assume

3x + 11y = 13 ...........(1)

8x + 13y = 2 .............(2)

let us, take a eqn (1)

3x + 11y = 13

x = (13 - 11y)/3

☑ substitute this value of x in equation (2)

so,

8((13 - 11y)/3)+13y = 2

104 - 88y + 39y = 6

104 - 49y = 6

-49y = 6 - 104

y = - 98 /- 49

y = 2

☑ substitute the value of in equation (1)

3x + 11(2) = 13

3x + 22 = 13

x = (13 - 22)/3

x = -9/3

x = -3

Therefore the values of x and y are

\boxed{\textbf{\large{x = -3}}}

\boxed{\textbf{\large{y = 2}}}
