Given

2x-y = 2 -----(1)

x+3y = 15 -----(2)

To Find

Values of x and y

Solution

2x-y = 2

2x = y+2

x = y+2/2 ------(3)

Put, eq. (3) in (2)

(y+2/2)+3y = 15

(y+2+6y)/2 = 15

7y+2 = 30

7y = 28

y = 4

Now,

x =(y+2)/2

x = (4+2)/2

x = 6/2

x = 3
