SNELL'S LAW === The ratio of sine of angle of incidence ( sin i ) to the sine of angle of refraction ( sin r ) is constant for the light of a given colour ( wavelength ) and for the given pair of media .

Mathematically, it is expressed as :

 \frac{sin \: i}{sinr} = constant

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ABSOLUTE REFRACTIVE INDEX OF A MEDIUM AND SPEED OF LIGHT IN VACUUM==

The refractive index of a given medium with respect to vacuum or air is called the absolute refractive index of the medium and simply represented by the symbol n with base m.

It is expressed in equation form as :

 \frac{speed \: of \: light \: in \: vacuum or \: air}{speed \: of \: light \: in \: the \: given \: medium} = \frac{c}{v}

NUMERICAL ---

A/B= 2/3

B/C=4/3

A/B*B/C=2/3*4/3

A/C=8/9

C/A= 9/8

So, the refractive index of Z with respect to X is 9/8 .
