Ans1-) There are many system of units existing today.
1) MKS - Metre, kilogram, second
2) FPS - foot, pound, second
3) CGS - centimeter, gram, second
4) SI (originated from French word "system de internationalle de unites.")
Metre, kilogram, second, ...
SI is just a modification of MKS. it is good because it is very convinient as it is used all over the world.
CGS is also very beneficial because it helps us in small measurements like cm, gram, etc.
