Q. Suppose there are 4 books on fairy tales, 5 novels and 3 plays. They have to be arranged so that the books on fairy tales are together, novels are together and plays are together, but we no longer require that they should be in a specific order. In how many ways can this be done

take the 4 fairy books as one object, 5 novels as another object and 3 plays as another object. so now we need to arrange 3 objects. it can be done in 3! = 6 ways.
since we don't need them to be in a specific order so we have reached our answer ie 6
THIS IS ONE APPROACH. OTHER WISE WE THINK THAT THE ORDER OF THE FAIRY TALES, NOVEL AND PLAYS DONT MATTER IN WHICH CASE THE ANSWER WILL BE 4!5!3! = 17280 ways
