Q. The area of a square and a rectangle are equal. If the side of the square is 40
cm and the breadth of the rectangle is 25 cm, find the length of the rectangle.
Also find the perimeter of the rectangle.

Answer:

area of square =1600 cm²

length of rectangle =64 cm

perimeter of rectangle=153 cm

explaination:

area of square = side *side =40*40 = 1600 cm²

area of square =area of rectangle=1600 cm²

let Length of rectangle=l cm

breadth of rectangle=25 cm

area of rectangle= l*b

1600 cm²=l*25

1600/25= l

64 cm =length

perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)

= 2(64+25)

= 153 cm
