Given that, length of this rectangle is 4cm more than it's breadth

therefore length= x+4 cm

Perimeter of the rectangle=40cm

=> 2(L+B)=40

=> 2(x+4+x)=40

=> 2(2x+4)=40

=> 4x+8=40

=> 4x=40-8

=> 4x=32

=> x=8

Breadth=x=8cm

length=x+4=8+4=12 cm

Verification-

=>2(12+8)

=> 2(20)

=> 40 cm
