Answer:

numerator is 3

denominator is 7

Step-by-step explanation:

If the denominator is x,

The fraction will be -- x-4/x

x-4+1/x+1 = 3/6

=> x-3/x+1 = 3/6

=> 3(x+1)=6(x-3)

=> 3x+3= 6x-18

=> 3x-6x = -18-3

=> -3x = -21

=> x= -21/-3

=> x = 7

**cross check :

3/6 = 1/2

(7-4)+1 / 7+1 => 3+1 / 8 => 4/8 => 1/2.

Hope this helps .

Have a nice day !
