Question:-

The perimeter of a rectangle is 240 cm if the breadth of the rectangle is 30 cm find its length also find the area of rectangle

Answer:-

  • The area of the rectangle is 270 cm²

To find:-

  • Area of the rectangle

Solution:-

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 240 cm
  • Breadth of rectangle = 30 cm

As we know,

 \large{ \boxed{ \mathfrak{perimeter = 2(l + b)}}}

Where,

  • l = length of rectangle
  • b = breadth of rectangle

According to question,

 \large{ \rm :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: 2(l + 30) = 240}

 \large{ \rm :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: l + 30 =  \frac{240}{2} } \\

 \large{ \rm :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: l + 30 = 120}

 \large{ \rm :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: l = 120 - 30}

 \large{ \rm :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:l =  90}

  • The length of rectangle is 90 cm

We have to find the area of rectangle.

 \large{ \boxed{ \mathfrak{area = length \times breadth  }}}

According to question,

 \large{ \rm :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: area = 90 \times 30}

 \large{ \rm :  \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: area = 270}

Hence,

The area of the rectangle is 270 cm²

GIVEN :-

Perimeter of Rectangle = 240 Cm.

Breadth = 30 Cm.

TO FIND :-

Find the length and also find the area of the rectangle.

SOLUTION :-

Perimeter of a Rectangle = 240 Cm.

Breadth = 30 Cm.

Length = ?

Let Length be L

Perimeter = 2( L + b )

240 = 2( L + 30 )

240 = 2L + 60

- 2L = 60 - 240

- 2L = - 180

2L = 180

L = 180/2

L = 90

So,

The Area of Rectangle = 90 Cm.
