Perimeter of the rectangle = 240 cm

Breadth = 30cm

Length = ??

We know that,

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l + b)

=> 240 = 2(l + 30)

=> 240/2 = l + 30

=> 120 = l + 30

=> l = 120-30

=> l = 90cm.

Hence, we got length as 90cm

Area of the rectangle = l*b

= 90*30

= 2700cm² ans.

\sf Given \begin{cases} & \sf{Perimeter\:of\:rectangle = \bf{240\:cm}}  \\ & \sf{Breadth\:of\:rectangle = \bf{30\:cm}}  \end{cases}\\ \\

To find: Length & Area of rectangle?

☯ Let length of rectangle be x cm.

  • The perimeter of a rectangle is 240 cm.

\dag\;{\underline{\frak{Perimeter\:of\:rectangle\:is\:given\:by,}}}\\ \\

\star\;{\boxed{\sf{\pink{Perimeter_{\;(rectangle)} = 2(length + breadth)}}}}\\ \\

:\implies\sf 2(x + 30) = 240\\ \\

:\implies\sf x + 30 = \cancel{ \dfrac{240}{2}}\\ \\

:\implies\sf x + 30 = 120\\ \\

:\implies\sf x = 120 - 30\\ \\

:\implies{\underline{\boxed{\frak{\purple{x = 90\:cm}}}}}\;\bigstar\\ \\

\therefore\:{\underline{\sf{Length\:of\:rectangle\:is\: {\textsf{\textbf{90\:cm}}}.}}}

\star\;{\boxed{\sf{\pink{Area_{\;(rectangle)} = length \times breadth}}}}\\ \\

:\implies\sf Area_{\;(rectangle)} = x \times 30\\ \\
