Hi here is your answer...

The number is 18...
because;
18+32=50
50-40=10
and 10 is a 2-digit number...

numbers like 17,16,etc cannot be the number because after adding and subtracting it will give us a single digit number...

We know that 10 is the smallest two digit number. So,
Let the number be 'x'
Then ATQ,
10= X+32-40
=> 10= X-8
Therefore,
10+8= X
18= X
Therefore, 18 is the smallest two digit number.
