Given :

Weight of 100cm³ = 8g

to find : weight of cubical box of length 80cm

To find the Weight we first have to find the volume of the cube.

Volume of cube = a³

where a is 80cm

Volume = (80)³

Volume = 512000cm³

100cm³ =≥ 8g

512000cm³ = y g

therefore,

 \dfrac{512000 \times 80}{100}  = y

by reducing to the lowest terms,

5120 \times 80 = y

409600g = y

1kg = 1000g

z kg = 409600g

z = 409.6

Therefore weight of cubical wooden box with length 80cm is 409.6kg.

Extras :

Volume of a cuboid = length × breadth × height

Volume of a cylinder = π × r²h

Volume of a sphere =

 \dfrac{4}{3} \pi \:  \times  {r}^{3}

Volume of cone =

 \dfrac{1}{3}\pi \times  {r}^{2}h

Volume of hemisphere =

 \dfrac{2}{3} \pi \times  {r}^{3}
