Given Two points A & B on a disc have velocities v1 & v2 at some moment. Their directions make angles 60° and 30° respectively with the line of separation as shown in figure. What is the angular velocity of disc?

V₁ cos 60 = V₂ cos 30₂

V₁ / V₂ = cos 30/cos 60

         = √3 /2 / 1/2

V₁ = √3 V₂

Angular velocity ω = V₁ sin 60 - V₁ sin 30 / d

                                 = √3 V₂ x √3/2 - V₂ x 1/2 /d

                          = 3 V₂/2 - V₂/2 / d

                              ω = V₂/d
