1. Dal lake is one of the famous nature tourism sites, located in Srinagar, drained by Jhelum, that attracts a major tourist considering its beauty. It was visited by us to study the major factors that attract tourists, the average influx of tourists annually, and the factors that are degrading Dal lake.
2. Owing to its different sceneries in different seasons, Dal lake is visited by an average of 24 lakhs tourists each year. It recorded an average of 24lakhs tourists in the year of 2005. However, the present pandemic scenario has decreased tourism.
3. List of environmental impacts observed due to tourism are listed below-
