Endemic species are plants and animals that exist in only in one geographic region.Species can be endemic to large or small areas of the earth some are endemic to a particular continent ,some to part of continent and others to a single island

Such a species of plant or animal which is found only in a given region or location and nowhere else in the world are known as endemic species.
eg. The Asiatic lion is only found in Gir National Park in Gujrat, India.
