One Sunday afternoon, the author was doing his homework on the dining table. There was a fire in their fireplace.Suddenly, the narrator noticed smoke in the house and was horrified to see the house in flames. It had caught fire. The narrator and his mother ran out of the house to protect themselves.But,the mother of narrator went inside without caring for her life. Her concern was to save the important documents and photographs as well as letters of her late husband. Those things were very dear to her and she wanted to have them safe in anyway.
