Appendix is a thin tube about four inches long. Appendix acts as a storehouse for good bacteria and reboot the digestive system after diarrheal illnesses.

The appendix is a blind ended tube connected to the cecum from which it develops in the embryo. it is not a vital organ.it is a vestigial organ.the human appendix averages 9cm in length but range from 2 to 20 cm. the appendix is located in the lower right quadrant of the abdomen.
