The Current Pds System In India is

i) Its Important Step Taken By Govt.Of India To Ensure Food Security..

ii) In Beginning, PDS was Universal With Not At All Single Distingushing  Btw Poor & non Poor

iii) In 1992, The Revamped PDS  was introduced....

iv) RPDs Target was to provide benefits to remote & poor sections of society....

v) In 1997, Target PDs Was Introduced....

vi)  It Was Introduced to adopt principle of targeting poor

vii) Further, In 2000, 2 Special Schemes were introduced...AAY & APS

viii) Antyodana Anna Yojna 

       Annapurna Scheme

ix) It Was Introduced To Benefit The Poorest Of Poor & Senior Citizens in India.....

x) This Is Still Linked With Current PDS ...
