Coal as a source of energy:-I am giving points,describe it as you need.

1) It is good for fuel.
2) In powerplants we use it to produce heat to initiate the power plant.
3) Coal is one of our body constituent,our body gains energy from organic compounds we eat/we are consist of.Coal is a great part of organics.

Coal as a source of raw material

1) Coal is a good reducing agent and is used in ore refining,steel,iron ore,sponge iron factory.
2) Coal can be a part of coke/pitch(black colour oily road making substance).

coal is a organic compound which is present in our body. it is very essential for us because it used in fuel for mechanical instruments.whe get diamond at high temperature.it used in many chemicals substances.also it is a good reducing agent.
