⚫ Power and Function of the Rajya Sabha as well as Regarding Money bill.
Same like the Lok Sabha, the Rajya Sabha also has the power to discuss or introduce a bill. The approval of the Rajya Sabha, too is necessary for converting a bill into a law.
The members of the Rajya Sabha can put question to the Minister. They can criticize the government's policies.
However, since the members of the Rajya Sabha are not elected directly by the people,Money Bills cannot be introduced in the Rajya Sabha first.
A money Bill had introduced in the 110 article of the Constitution.
For passing a Money Bill the decision of the Lok Sabha as well as the Rajya Sabha is required. If amongst them the decision is late or not in favor then the Money Bill can be declined.
