a)fluorine in CaF2
b)sulphur in CH4

(a) Valency of Fluorine is -1, since valence electron is 7, so 7-8= -1. (b) Sulphur is +6.

valency of carbon in CH4 is 4 in C2H6 is 3 in C2H4 2 and in C2H2 is 1
