✔ Well, The question is very nice and intelligent too.

✔ But the answer should be logical as per your question.

Let us see the answer :-

➡ Faraday's illustration of the peculiar behavior of that magnet detects or records the presence of electric current.

➡ Any interesting, logical and good scientific illustrations should have better advantages in future which will be more developed than the earlier one.

➡ A new born baby may develops slowly slowly by working hard to achieve success in future. As a result, he/she undergoes a good, developed lifestyle because of his/her efforts which he/she applied.

➡ Similarly, here, in this case, Faraday's illustration of that peculiar behavior of magnet when getting connected to a GALVANOMETER which later gives rise to a electric generator which produces electricity cheaply amd in quantity.

➡ Thus, every good scientific logical illustrations can give rise to useful intentions. No one knows when a good illustration will become an invention.

==================================

"Of what use is a new born baby? "

✔ A baby when newly born, we dont understand the use. If we guide him/her, he/she may have a great future ahead, that we forget maximum times.

✔ Thus, this is the point where we should keep patience and make our aims, understandings, new and well thoughts strong.

Answer

When Faraday in one of his lectures in the 1840s, he'd illustrated the peculiar behaviour of a magnet in connection with a spiral coil of wire which was connected with galvanometer. When asked 'bout that illustration, he politely answered, "Sir, of what use is a new-born baby?" He meant by this statement was, "we don't know what the new-born baby will become, when he'll grew young. When we'll taught him/her, when we'll guide him/her, he/she would be able to do all the things. Unless we taught him, he/she can't be anything. His illustration can be used in various ways, if we know the correct format. Thus, when the audience asked 'bout it's applications, he then employed and made it possible to produce electricity cheaply and in quality.
